  1. In a small bowl, whisk together egg, salt and pepper. In a separate dish, combine all dry ingredients and mix.
  2. Dip each piece of cheese into the egg, then roll into the dry mixture to coat. Repeat this twice to a double coating on each cheese stick.
  3. Place cheese sticks into a small container and put into the freezer for at least 20 minutes.
  4. Heat approximately 1/2 inch of oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry cheese sticks until golden-brown, about one minute per side. Drain excess oil on paper towels and serve immediately.
